Aldo: I’M Going To Have To Move To Lighweight

Frankie Edgar seems to be in hot demand these days. After losing his lightweight title to Ben Henderson, Edgar already has a rematch set up for some time this summer.

Dana White had originally asked Edgar if he wanted to move down to the featherweight division and fight current champ Jose Aldo, but his answer was “no.”

Aldo is not deterred though, if Edgar won’t move down for him, then he will move up for Edgar.

“Having Edgar, a former lightweight champion, would be amazing for the featherweight division, but if he doesn’t come down [to 145 pounds], in the future, I’m going to have to move to lightweight.”

How would this pan out? Would the move up in weight slow Aldo down?
